Program Description

We provide free ESL classes to all adults whose first language is not English. 

High-quality teachers, tutors, and classroom materials are free and accessible to all students. We are the only agency in Washington County that provides FREE adult ESL services.

Luke and Nina’s Story

English is “hard to learn”, but Luke is now an intermediate-level student with a solid grasp of the language basics. Nina, too, now has a tutor at the Literacy Council and is one of the fastest learners in our program.
